Why Use Epoxy Resin Floor Repair Products?

Selection of the correct type of epoxy compound and good preparation will provide long lasting floor repairs.

Are Epoxy Resin Repair Mortars Easy to Use?

Yes they are even though many manufacturers describe their epoxy resin repair mortars and screeds as “specialist” products. Being multi component systems some manufacturers advocate that only trained professionals should attempt to use them. However it’s true, there are resin products which require stringent control but the majority of products can be mixed and installed by almost anyone.

How Do I Apply an Epoxy Resin Mortar?

Three-component products comprising of Base resin liquid, Hardener resin liquid and Filler powder can be easily mixed with a drill and paddle or even by hand for small quantities. The two resins are thoroughly mixed together and then the filler is added to give body. The filler amount can often be varied to give different consistencies of product.

We supply products that can be used for a variety of general concrete repairs, such as:

From small patch repairs to concrete ramps, pavements, yards, driveways  to patch repair worn concrete floors to make up level differences in localised areas bedding kerb stones directly to macadam, bedding manhole frames, repairing spalled concrete slabs.

These products can be used in heavy duty / heavy wear / heavily trafficked areas where resistance to abrasion, robustness, durability, impact resistance and chemical resistance are required.

We supply products capable of repairing depths from feather-edged (0mm) to 500mm. It is important to select the right product for the depth of repair, some products are not capable of being feather-edged, others cannot be used above a certain thickness because too much heat will be generated during the curing process.

For very shallow repairs see: Resupatch or Tufpatch FS
For very deep repairs see: Ultracrete FTC or SikaSet 45
For very fast-set concrete repair materials see: Febset 45, SikaSet 45, Ultracrete M90, Ultracrete FTC
