The Shard, London, with Sherwin Williams

The Shard, London

Client

London Bridge Quarter Development

The Shard required a fully integrated passive fire protection and corrosion control specification for approximately 12,500 tonnes of structural steelwork. Sherwin-Williams collaborated with Severfield Reeve, WSP and Mace to develop a system that could largely be factory applied, reducing programme duration while meeting the project's demanding performance requirements.

Coating Specification

  • Macropoxy™ C400V3 epoxy primer
  • Acrolon™ C137V2 polyurethane finish
  • FIRETEX® C69
  • FIRETEX® M95 / FX2002 / FX4000 intumescent fire protection
