How to Remove Oil Contamination from Concrete Before Coating

Oil soaked concrete can prevent coatings from bonding properly.

Begin by applying a strong degreasing cleaner and scrubbing the affected area thoroughly. Rinse with hot water and allow the floor to dry.

For heavily contaminated areas, mechanical grinding may be required to remove the contaminated layer. Once the concrete is clean and dry, apply a suitable primer before installing the coating system.
