How to Repair Cracks in a Warehouse Floor Before Coating

Cracks must be dealt with before laying new coatings. Start by widening the crack with a grinder to create clean edges. Vacuum dust thoroughly. Fill the gap with an epoxy filler or mortar and allow it to harden. Sand flush, check once more for defects, then prime the entire surface before the main floor coating. This prevents cracking from showing through and strengthens the substrate long term.
