HPI - Maintenance Coatings

Rarely is HPI ‘maintenance’ for coatings alone, however it is an essential opportunity to tackle corrosion issues.

Sometimes corrosion can be the result of failing coatings, an incorrect previous specification or simply aged coatings.

Coatings will often be the last maintenance process prior to going back into service. It is therefore very important to minimise ‘down-time’ with the speed of the required maintenance. The correct specification also will ensure longevity to achieve smooth running for the future. Many operators are so aware of the huge financial penalty of production stoppage that they don’t limit the budget for HPI maintenance work – many recognising that the total cost of the coating application cost being less than a single day of production in lost earnings.
