Jotun Barrier

The Jotun Barrier range is a collection of two-pack polyamide cured zinc rich epoxy coatings. Conforming to the compositional requirements of SSPC paint 20, level 2. Providing very good corrosion protection as part of a complete coating system. Used as a primer in atmospheric conditions such as offshore environments, mining equipment and structural steel. Suitable for carbon steel, repair of inorganic zinc silicate coating and damaged galvanised steel.

Being a Jotun preferred supplier we are in a perfect position to support you with the supply of Jotun Barrier, a two-pack low build anti-corrosive epoxy mastic for application to steel.

This is a zinc rich aluminium finish epoxy primer, which is part of the Highways Approved paint systems but is also suitable for use on steel vessels above or below the water line.

When Barrier is applied below the waterline it is recommended that either aluminium or re-toned colour should be applied.

Barrier is designed as a primer in coating systems where extended durability is essential. Suitable for structural steel and piping which is exposed to the more demanding corrosive of environment.

Recommended for offshore environments, marine, refineries, energy,  power plants, highways, bridges, buildings, mining equipment and general steel structures.

Jotun Barrier is suitable for application to manually prepared and sand blasted surfaces making this surface tolerant paint suitable for areas that are difficult to prepare.
